Senate Drug Caucus to Hold Hearing on Counternarcotics Efforts in Colombia

WASHINGTON — Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, co-chairman, will hold a hearing of the Caucus on International Narcotics Control to examine U.S. counternarcotics efforts in Colombia and how these efforts should be adapted in light of the staggering increases in coca production in the country.

Hearing:  “Adapting U.S. Counternarcotics Efforts in Colombia.” 

Date/time:  Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10 a.m.

Location:   SD-226, Dirksen Senate Office Building

Description:  This hearing will focus on counternarcotics efforts in Colombia, including interdiction and eradication, given the increased availability of cocaine in the United States following years of decline.
